“Each was found in the back seat of the car; the hood left standing up, flashers on, on a side road, just off the interstate, not more than two miles from an on the ramp in fact. The body was curled on its side, so when they were found, the persons thought they were asleep.” He paused and looked at her closely. “Angel, the worst of it is that each of the young ladies had a picture of your face stapled to it, like a mask. The eyes were cut out so that you could see their eyes, both of which were green in color. Both of them were red headed, like you are.”

“What do you mean my picture, what sort of picture?” She asked of him as she jumped up from the couch.

“Do you remember the one that the newspaper wanted to run after the Boswell case? That is the one that had been blown up to full size, to cover the victims face.”

“Johnnie that picture never ran! They agreed to pull it and not use it. I thought they gave it back to the station; they promised us that they had no other copy of that photo!” She began to pace.

He reached out to grab her. “Babe, I know. We talked to them, and they assured us that they had given it back. We talked to that same reporter, and she assured us that she did not keep a digital or a hard copy of it. She has been on this case from the beginning, but she had been good to her word, she has not said anything about who you are, and she has not mentioned the photo either.”
