I got myself a two bedroom flat by the second week and a job as a waitress in Mona's Diner by the fifth week. I also babysit my boss's kids whenever he and his wife have places to go. I dropped the idea of schooling and saved for it for two years. Afterwards I wrote the entrance exam to New York University and got accepted to study Literature.
