The DJ then called all the couples competing in the dance contest to come out onto the dance floor, which they did, he ask them if they understood the rules, they all shouted ,yes! And he said, judges come out to the floor, which they did, and then he said we'll begin now, and he started then with a Chubby Checker old familiar song '"Let's Twist Again Like We Did Last Summer" and the dancers all began the twist, Chad looked over at Gloria and she was laughing and having the time of her life, he knew they looked good.
Then the music suddenly changed and he thought ah, a calypso, and Gloria was thinking Cha, Cha, basically the same thing and they went onto that dance, they no sooner got comfortable in that and it changed again, on and on this went, it seemed to go on forever, she noticed Chad had broke out in a sweat on his brow she was puffing herself, but they were so enjoying themselves they didn't seem to notice.
Then at last the music stopped, and the DJ said, the judges would confer and the results would be announced later and now everyone dance, and he played a slow tune.
Chad pulled Gloria into his arms and they danced, he said, in her ear '"you're a great dancer angel girl," she said, "your not so bad yourself' then he sought out her lips and kissed her a very sweet kiss and he held closer still, feeling her ample breast against his chest, and they fit together so well, he thought, no wonder they were such good partners in dancing too
Gloria was thinking almost the same thing, as he pulled her closer still; she was also thinking how easy this is going to be falling in love with Chad and making him fall in love with her, if he didn't already begin the process. They found out later they took second place in the contest, and received a gift certificate of dinner for two at an upscale restaurant in the area. The winning couple was younger and more energetic, they guessed.
