"Hi, room service? Yes…could you send a bottle of champagne to Mr. Motsepe's room? Yes, along with strawberries. That is great, thanks." She hanged up the phone and noticed that he was staring at her.

"Okay. Out with it." He said closing the fridge and coming towards her. "What did you find out?" She smiled broadly and his heart skipped a beat. He stopped just four feet away from her wondering what it was about her that made him feel so alive and carefree. He had been stressing the past week about his business in New York. The longer he remained in South Africa, the more his mother dragged him into the family's never ending drama. He had been feeling stressed a few minutes ago while talking to his mother and then she showed up and he couldn't even remember why he was so eager to get back to his dull life in New York. Mandisa took out a file from her brief case.

"There is a saying that I like." She said coming towards him. Her hips swung side to side seductively. For a second, Tebogo thought she meant to seduce him but then he looked at her hands and knew she was not that type of a girl.

"People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones." Mandisa said in her honey coated voice that drove Tebogo crazy. She stood at arms length and he wanted nothing more than to pull her towards him and kiss her senselessly. She brought the file forward as if offering him a gift. Tebogo looked at it. He couldn't imagine what it was. He ignored the file and captured her eyes.

"And what stones do you reckon I've thrown?" He asked indulgent. She had charm instead of physical beauty. She was attractive of course but could never compete for Miss South Africa. His sudden attraction to her surprised him. He usually went for tall, skinny, glamorous girls. In fact, her sister Bonisile was more his type but he felt nothing for her. He had her picture and saw her all the time on TV and his heart never skipped a beat.

"How is your brother doing?" She changed the topic and moved to sit on the bed, crossing her legs. Tebogo wondered what it would be like to have her all naked and sweaty in that same bed. Would she be a tigress or a nun?

"He should be discharged in a couple of days." He told her wondering how long she meant to keep him in suspense.
