As spring vacation was over, and school was back in full swing, it was time for Lindsey and her classmates to prepare for Kindergarten graduation. While Lindsey did her best to meet the district’s Kindergarten graduation standards , her teacher Mrs. Shockley did her best to make sure Lindsey failed. The last month of school was approaching. Mrs. Shockley sent Lindsey home with a note to her parents recommending them to hold Lindsey back from graduation and have her repeat Kindergarten. Since the note was just a recommendation, and it was not mandatory to keep her back. Lindsey’s parents decided it would be best for Lindsey, to move forward on to first grade, especially since there was no merit to the recommendation. Other than not being able to touch her knees to her chin, Lindsey was right on task with the rest of her class. Graduation day, everything was perfect. The ceremony was perfect. Lindsey and all of her classmates received their diplomas to move on to the next grade. After the ceremony which took place in the schools cafeteria also known as the auditorium, they went back to class and celebrated with balloons and cake and ice cream and lots of different fun games. After the party, there was plenty of left over treats. Lindsey and her classmates each go to take home a huge bag of goodies. Lindsey couldn’t wait to get home. As Lindsey arrived home, her brother Mike Jr. was sitting on the couch watching cartoons and awaiting Lindsey’s arrival. He was bored and couldn’t wait to play, and since Lindsey was home, he finally had someone to play with. But once he saw the huge bag of goodies in Lindsey’s hand, he had other things in mind. Lindsey was never selfish. She was always a very kind and sharing person. As soon as she seen her bother’s eyes light up at the sight of her goodie bag, she immediately divided up her treats, and shared with everyone in the family.
