"All right. We'll be gone for a week anyway," I winked at Keith.

"Ah, right," Kim took an ace bandage out of another cupboard. She then walked over to Keith and while he was holding his arms up she wrapped the bandage around his chest and down to his lower torso. "There you go," she said as she fastened the bandage in place with clips.

"Thank you," Keith said. I handed him his shirt and he slipped it back on.

He stood up and we headed back to the floor. We headed upstairs and split up as we went to be debriefed. Amy turned on the recorder and took notes as I told her everything that had happened from when we left CTC to the bomb and the loss of Henderson. She then turned off the recorder and set the notepad down.

"So, you're okay?" She hugged me.

"I'm fine, it's been one hell of a day, but most days are like that here. No big deal, except the stupid argument I started with Keith over nothing." I ran my fingers through my hair and sighed.

"What happened?"

"I forgot I was injured and got upset when he said I should run point. I told him I could take care of myself and he was hurt that I thought he was too protective. We talked it out, and apologized to each other, but I feel horrible about it."

She leaned forward. "Sweetie no one is perfect. I've never known a relationship that didn't have a few bumps every now and then. But this was no big deal so don't worry about, it was just a bad day. Keith knows how you really feel. And you're about to get married so no more about that."

I smiled as I realized that the worst part of the day was behind me. I reached up and held the heart pendant, remembering how good the day started. I just had to put the last few hours out of my mind because this was going to be one of the best days of my life. I wasn't going to let a few bad hours ruin that.

"Ooh, what's that?"

"The necklace Keith gave me this morning."

She looked at it. "It's beautiful. He's so sweet."

"He is...I'm so lucky. Okay, I've got to go. You're leaving now too right?"

She nodded. "Yep, just need to turn this in and I'm free."

"Great, see you there, Ames." I got up and hugged her then walked out of the office. Once I was downstairs I grabbed my purse out of the locker room and headed to the elevator where Keith was waiting.
