You could say Jamo was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His parents owned and operated a car dealership for over 30 years in the Washington, D.C. community; they were approaching retirement age and grooming him, their only child, to take over the company.

Yet, he had other ideas and no interest in the business. When his parents left him in charge, he knew how to worm his way out of an assignment by getting other employees to do his work. He was as slippery as a wet eel.

Jamo's paternal grandparents, who were now deceased, had set up a trust fund, which he could not draw from until he was twenty-six years old. They believed at this age, their grandson would be more mature at managing and investing his money sensibly.

He did receive a small monthly allowance from his parents but figured that when he got all of his money from the trust, he would fly the coop, travel the world and live a jet set lifestyle. He had it all worked out and was slowly planning his departure.

For several years, Jamo had been attending college, but his major was a complete mystery to those who knew him.

He was attending college because his parents stipulated that in order to receive his monthly pocket money, he had to either work at the dealership full-time or attend college. He chose the latter.

However, his parents never gave him a timetable to obtain his degree, so going to school became his vocation.

There were times when he would cut classes, get students to take notes or pay to have his assignments and term papers done. He was extremely good at manipulating people and talking his way out of any situation.

His mannerism and charm were his greatest assets.

Women would gravitate towards him like groupies encircling a pop star; they would do just about anything for and to him.

The talk around campus was that many women and a few good men would offer him money to spend the night with them, and some professors would give him a passing grade for courses, which he never completed or passed, for a night of erotic indulgences.

Whether these rumors were true, no one really knew.

Others would just hang around him, because of the big windfall that was coming his way.

Frankly speaking, no one could have ever blamed these people for wanting to be into him. After all, he was drop-dead attractive, had the body of an Olympic runner and spent more time in the gym than he did in the lecture halls.

His sense of style was laid-back. With his long beautiful locs, he kept up with the latest fashion trends. No matter what he wore, heads would turn.
