After the third killing in his state Erin's FBI unit took over the investigation. The first killing was at the fairground. It was a young single woman. Nobody at the fairground heard any yelling asking for someone to help. None of the witnesses saw anything unusual. The coronor was baffled during their inspection of the body. It looked as though her body was shreded by a couple of dogs or wildlife in the area except for the bite on her neck looked as though she was bit by a vampire which couldn't be right. All of her blood had been sucked out of her.
Erin remembered that Samatha had seen a strange animal of some kind. He stopped by and asked their parents if he could talk to her. In the kitchen Samatha remembered the animal. She said the animal looked like a dog that was sick sniffing around the rest room. Erin questioned her a little further to explain why she thought the animal was sick. She replied that the animal looked strange. It might have been a dog that was losing it's fur
He met with the law agencies that was called out to the site. They didn't even have a theory on how or what killed the young woman at the fairground but did think who or what killed her killed the other ons but wasn't sure. The Mo was the same and the body which was a young exchange studen male. Erin's unit thought they might have been connected in more than one way. One investigator thought that the victims might have been having a sexual relationship. Upon further investigating proved that they didn't know each other except maybe both victims knew the killer or had at least ran into him or her.
