John opened the door to his room and walked in without turning on the light and sat down on the side of the bed. Only the light coming from the window illuminated his room. He sat there in the dark just thinking about Jennifer.

Jennifer turned away from the window and walked over to her purse, took out her cell phone and punched a speed dial number. She heard her sister's voice answer the phone. "Hello Kitty, it's me again."

"What's wrong sis, I know that sound in your voice?"

"I had another incredible evening with the wrong person."

"You know what I'm going to say; the only wrong person I know of in your life is Michael. Was this that guy John you phoned me about yesterday?"

"Yeah, he's not like anyone I've ever met before. Did you ever meet someone, I mean, a really great someone but you met them at the wrong time in your life?"

"No, I got lucky and found my Mr. Perfect the first time. I know you don't care to talk to me and dad about this anymore, but does Michael still make you feel this way, even sometimes?"

Jennifer took a long pause before answering and exhaled deeply then her voice sounded hesitant, unsure. "Not really. Michael and I feel more like we have a brother and sister relationship. Since we moved in together a few years ago, he's seemed more like the perfect roommate than a Fiancé or lover."

"You know what I'm going to say again so I won't even say it. But here is another idea, have you ever thought that maybe this John feels good because he's someone new and he's paying attention to you, unlike Michael?"

"At first I tried to rationalize my feelings for him that way, but I know that's not it, I know the difference. I told you when Michael invited him over for dinner to the house it was as if I'd known him for a very long time. Somehow we bonded instantly I've never had that with anyone before."

"Sis, maybe this is a sign, a sign to get you to at least think that there could be something better out there than Michael for you. I mean, come on Sis it's been five years now and you can't get him to set a wedding date? That's got to mean something. It's easier to break up with a fiancé than a husband, a lot easier and cheaper and you don't have to get an attorney."

"That's the reason I wanted to come along on this trip so bad. I thought it would be a perfect opportunity for Michael and me to rekindle the romance and spark in our relationship, you know, kind of shake the tree."
