A special ceremony to celebrate the life of Ibuki was planned and announcements were made in Mento so that others could come to the ceremony. The ceremony was well attended by those in Hayshua as well as others who came from Mento and the surrounding areas.
“Dear daughter. Your grandmother was my mother and I miss her as well. We must move on and let the pains of her loss be behind us. I so loved my mother, but I still have much life ahead and I still have this wonderful family,” said Gendua.
“It is so hard to not spend time with her each day. The ceremony to mark her leaving us was beautiful. I cannot clear my mind of this loss,” said Kaori.
My daughter you may walk out into the meadows to find yourself and how you are to find your peace. Do this alone when you can. Go speak with the spirits of the meadows. You are old enough to do this alone,” said the father of Kaori.
That same day Kaori took her first walk out into the meadows by herself. As she walked and talked to herself, some of her animal friends came out to be with her, but nothing would stop this pain she was experiencing. Her mourning continued to be painful.
