Meka and her husband were seamstress and tailor. They made clothes that were sold in Mento. Work clothes were sold to the farmers by her the husband. Meka made items for women. These included dresses and undergarments. Traders from Reine bought items in this shop that were also sold in the cities of the Reine Empire.
Mento also had much entertainment. It had a theater where there were many types of performances. There were musicians, dancers, singers, and a weekly magic show. Entry to the theater cost very little as its shows were financed by live commercials created by the many shops in Mento. The shop owner would stand before these audiences displaying his or her wares or they would pay someone to do this for them. One particular group in Mento would create these commercials for a fee. On tables outside the theater the patrons could purchase some items after the shows.
Gambling was also popular in Mento. Horse racing was done through the streets at least once each week. This was one of the many ways in which Mento provided entertainment.
Mento was a thriving town of commerce. It was one of the jewels of the Hayshua area known throughout the region.

Everyone was welcome in the Hayshua village. When a stranger came into the Hayshua village, this person was greeted warmly. If this person needed shelter, one of the members of the village was found to allow this new person to stay in their hut while in the village. This family also took on the responsibility of teaching the ways of the Hayshua people to this new person in case the person decided to stay in the village.
