“I am unsure whether the people of Hayshua believe that I accepted Kaori due to her position here within Hayshua. She is someone I expect to enjoy forever. Somehow I will not let myself get to think about what others think. I am Yousho. I am so able to deal with this and much more.”

Yousho also acquired a string instrument similar to the one Kaori’s father had traded for in Mento. Kaori’s father taught Yousho to play this instrument and Yousho really enjoyed it. Many evenings he would sit and play this instrument while Kaori sang her praises to the gods. They became a musical couple and often entertained the people of Hayshua with their music. At least three times each week the couple practiced together in the creation of music. Kaori was the voice and lyric creator while Yousho played his string instrument.

Hayshua

The people of Hayshua were once a nomadic people who traveled extensively throughout the region. This was a rough existence and was a challenge compared to what the village experienced being in one place. That was several generations ago.

The Hayshua people continue to be very expressive and their spiritual rites dominated their way of living. The decision to settle in a village was awkward for a time, but their numbers began to rise as they stayed in one place. The beauty of the area and the closeness to Mento which had been a trading post for them caused them to settle in Hayshua. Their travels had brought much in terms of being open to the ideas of others and a knowledge of crafts. To settle in a place where they could grow food appealed to the Hayshua leaders.
