“The baby that we took from the accident place and brought up by Sivasankar was none but Shyamala.

The whole family gob smacked (utterly astounded, astonished) on hearing that Shyamala was the foster daughter of Sivasankar and Padmini.

Raghava continued:” We took the baby to a nearby hospital and gave first aid medical treatments. The baby Shyamala clung to Sivasankar’s neck and from that moment onwards, Siva changed completely. He began to dote upon the baby Shyamala. He explained to his wife, Padmini all the incidents and she asked me whether they’re true. She took the baby in her hands, but the baby Shyamala began to cry till Siva took her in his hands and pacified her. On my advice, he performed a grand Yajna (included major ceremonial devotions, with or without a sacred fire, sometimes with feasts and community events.) and distributed presents to the poor.

Before my return to Mahendrapuram, he hugged me and thanked me for causing him to be blessed with the mascot, Shyamala. He agreed that my vatic pronouncement came true and validated in his life.

Sivasankar coddled his foster daughter too much and brought her up as she liked. He won’t bear if she shed one tear from her eyes. She was given whatever she demanded and her arrogance also grew day by day. As a pupil of his eye, Sivasankar forgot the whole world and Shyamala was only his world and she, vice versa. Generally girls are much attached to their mothers but Shyamala was exception. She was the pet of her father, Sivasankar and she didn’t know about her past life as well as her real parents. Recently Baskar fibbed that she was the foster daughter by which Sivasankar asked me angrily whether I revealed the truth to Baskar. I told him that it was nothing but a mischievous play by Baskar and I warned Baskar immediately not to play with fire.
