At first it as the outdoor cats and dogs that seemed to have disappear then people were finding their indoor cats and dogs was killed off. They reported it to the health department. A lot of town people was so afraid for not only their children's lives but their own that they left. Next places that the rats decided to invade was the stores and one of the nursing homes found rats in bed with the elderly feeding off of their bodies. The elderly residents was sent to the hospital where they past away from their injuries
The city officials. the health department, Mr. Holmes and Ben met again and did a press interview. The health department laid the blame on the old airplane manufacture claiming the fedaral government .had contracted out to have a mysterious fighter jet to be built that ran on radioactive benzene but it was so toxic that they pulled the plug on the project and when the airplane plant left they left the barrels ther and sealed the room up and somehow the rats got into it and this was the result. The husband of the first victim pulled out a gun and shot both Mr. Holmes and Ben. They both was announced dead on arrivial leaving Ben's wife and four very young children to fend for themselves plus his siblings and parents in just as much grief as his wife.
