She had never backed down from a fight before or felt like breaking down and she had never thought she would be forced to do those two things at the same time.

Mandisa wiped her wet cheeks and took a deep breath. She felt miserable and alone, not that it mattered. The decision was made and all that was left was for her to make it official. Mandisa closed her eyes and wondered how everything had gone so horribly wrong. All she did was follow her heart, just once. No, not her heart, her hormones. Her heart had led her to her sisters and that had turned out fine. It wasn’t the same with Tebogo. No, with Tebogo it had been lust. The devil had tempted her and she had fallen for it and now her sister was going to pay the price. Mandisa pursed her lips tight as tears filled her eyes again. It wasn’t fair. None of it was and the worst thing was that her sisters were so scared; they didn’t want to go to court any more. They didn’t doubt her abilities, they doubted their worth. Fate had never been kind to them and they were convinced that the Motsepes were fate letting them know that they didn’t deserve to be happy.

Mandisa didn’t agree with them. They did deserve to be happy and they have been happy until...until she fell in love with Tebogo.

Tears fell down her cheeks and she quickly wiped then away. This wasn’t the time to break down and she wasn’t going to give the devil the satisfaction of knowing just how miserable she felt. Taking another deep breath and holding her head up, she knocked on Tebogo’s door. The door was opened immediately and Rose looked down at her.

“What are you doing here?” Rose said unpleasantly. “Have you came to glo…”

“Where is your son?” Mandisa cut in. “I need to speak to you both. You might also want to call your lawyer.” She said letting herself in. The quicker she got this done the sooner she could start helping her family move past this ordeal and she can begin turning her heart to stone. Mandisa never wanted to fall in love ever again. Love sucked and it wasn’t worth all that her sisters had been through and what she was going through.
