The friends were silent for a few minutes, then Gail saw Barbara's concern and reassured her.
"I'll be all right, don't worry. I have Timmy. I'll take good care of Paul's son for him. And I'll make sure when he's old enough, he knows how wonderful his father was."
Barbara would make sure he knew that, too.
