Today was "Student's Farewell Day" at school. We had to perform in front of our big brothers and sisters who have completed their high school. We had practiced a lot of songs and some of ours too. Our song is more like of Radiohead. Ron introduced us at the stage. But this time we're performing songs from popular rock band artists. We played four songs from other bands. They were- "Californication" by Red Hot Chili Peppers, "Take a Look Around" byLimp Bizkit, "We will Rock you" by Queen and "Numb" by Linkin Park. We totally rocked the stage and everyone were screaming loud. We were not nervous and played with all our hearts. The crowd's scream was the best thing I've ever heard. All cheered for us. We had never experienced such energy and excitement before. Plus, our performance wasn't bad. Our music reached the audience.
James came all the way from UK to see our performance. He had promised me to visit in 'Student's Farewell Day' some years back. He cheered for us as well. I saw him along with Jenny from the stage and I thought 'Do they know each other?' After finishing our performance, I rushed towards James. He was sitting at the middle of the crowd and I noticed him from afar. After reaching there, I was surprised from what I saw. Jenny and James were talking with each other as if they had known each other for a long time. I went there and jenny also smiled after seeing me. She told me that my performance was astounding and that she was surprised seeing me rolling the sticks and drumming. I just grinned like a Cheshire cat from the movie 'Alice in Wonderland'. James too praised me for the performance. The program was over and we all met outside of the Music Hall. Jenny was together with us and I had no words to speak of. James was astonished knowing that we knew each other. But as a matter of fact, I was surprised seeing them together. All of a sudden, a new perception came in my mind. What if James was the person she mentioned back then? I tried to ask her but how could I. I had no guts to speak again after ignoring her. But the way they talked and giggled showed it. My best two friends of my life were the couple. I knew the instance when I saw Jenny smile in a completely different way when she was with him. There's no way a girl like Jenny would smile and talk to any stranger in a first meet. So, I was happy and sad both at the same time. Happy because James was the one for Jenny and sad because her final words were true. I rushed from that place making some excuses. I didn't know what to do in front of my first love and my best friend. So, I disappeared from there.
