It was quarter past one o’clock in the afternoon when Aliziana buttoned her steel grey jacket, wrapped her purse over her shoulder, held the security briefcase possessively and said her goodbye to Kayley. As she was walking earnestly toward the shop door, a tall, dark haired man, in a dark suit jacket with an umbrella, pulled open the intricate door handle before she could reach it. He stared at her fixedly. She became concerned and suspicious of how he eyed her intently for a lengthy time.

“Miss Ferretti?” He motioned with his hand to take the briefcase and she pulled it back swiftly to her side, feeling threatened by the stranger.

“Excuse me - who are you?” She asked cautiously when she looked him over. He was much taller than her and she had three inch heels on. Maybe it was the suit jacket but he had wide intimidating shoulders, dark hair that was cut military style, dusky, wide lips and his eyes were darkly serious as they both looked at each other simultaneously.

She had never seen him before in the store and although he was an attractive, well-dressed man, her stance remained guarded. Even sophisticated criminals could be charming and good looking, she justified her vigilance to herself.
