After a six hour drive they arrived in Clearwater as the sun was setting. The children's home looked scarry even to Mackenzie. it was a three story brick building Brooklyn remembered she had came here once and was scared to go into the building that her parents had to pay someone to sit outside on the bench with her while they went inside. After that they would come up here almost bi weekly while Brooklyn stayed home with the nanny. Then after a few years her parents stopped coming

She never knew why. When she thought what the reason could have been she got a nagging feeling that something was amiss. She wondered what her parents had been so secretive about.all of these years. Mackenzie suggested that they could have dinner and check into the only motel that Clearwater had then come back to the children's home in the morning. The young women ate dinner at the cutest little corner cafe. It was a white stone building with an outdoor patio area.

The weather was still nice enough for dinner outdoors so they took a table fairly close to the door. Mackenzie ordered their fried chicken dinner with mash potatoes, gravy. a garden salad, a dinner roll with a glass of gingerale. Brooklyn order their half a slab of ribs, macaroni and cheese, side dish. of Mustard greens, a dinner roll and a glass of ice tea.The cafe was just catty corner from the motel. There was this quiant little surveinor store next to the motel. Brooklyn saw this cute little Indian reading lamp in the window
