“This is amazing, when did you plan all these?” she asked, a smile written all over her face.

“You deserve so much more.” Upon closer inspection, there was a five foot wide path meandering through the forest but leaves covered the walkway.

The further they walked to the cabin, the more run down. The place wasn’t exactly Disney land but she loved the ambience. The sounds of the chirping birds filled her ears.

Cupping her hands, she looked inside the window of the cabin. There was an old fashion juice bar with stools covered in worn red plastic. She rubbed the dust from the glass and looked closer. She couldn’t believe she was spending the night with Ricky in this cabin. There were bird photos, plastic birds and bird posters. She turned away for a moment and leaned against the door of the cabin. Ricky opened the door.

“I need to shower first before I do anything.” She said as she looked around for the bathroom. While Flora showered, Ricky threw together a sandwich. He was pensive, he thought of a way to tell Flora about who he truly was. Now he had to figure out what to next, he kept staring at his phone and ignoring Angie’s calls.

Sandwich in hand, he went outside and stood on the front porch to eat. The view gave him pleasure. With the second sandwich devoured, he went back to the house and headed to the closed bathroom door. He didn’t hear noises from the shower.
