“Sure why not? I admit that this is a gold mine. I want it so bad the thought of it keeps me up at night just thinking of all those million dollar houses and ways to spend all that money I stand to get from you and your clueless cousin.”

“You think you have a chance with her?” Angie slowly put her hand on his shoulder, “I think you better leave before you make things worse.”

Jerome crossed his arms over his chest, not looking like he planned to leave anytime soon.

“That’s another issue. This town. Look at it.”

“Yeah.”

“Look around. You are all alone. How sure are you that Ricky hasn’t turned his back on you, we all know how greedy he can get. You are one person Angie. I have an army. I will take it the easy or he hard way.”

“What’s your point?”

“You get me my money and a share of the jackpot cash.”

A warm sweat dampened the back of Angie’s polka dotted blouse and she froze on the spot. She stared at a short man in a brightly colored shirt and an impatient woman who’d been checking her phone every five seconds for the last thirty minutes. The woman made a disapproving sound, indicating that she was done waiting. The woman pushed her way past them as she turned back to look at Jerome.
