All in the Skull’s gang were from Charlotte. Bud Hobson was the undisputed Satan’s Skull gang leader. Crimes of all, varieties were committed. They dealt in stolen guns, drugs, alcoholic beverages, and stolen merchandise.
This gang was mostly these eight men:

Mark Carling African American black man, explosives expert, locks and safe cracker
Leo March gun expert, marksman
Edgar Kahn African American black man, martial arts specialist, he was a large man nicknamed the Big Bruiser
Barato Narducci a good man to size up a place for a job and then plan it expertly
Doug Hafner get away car driver
Zane Driggs counter fitter, engraver, this man was insane undiagnosed as he heard voices.
Edward Hoag nicknamed Shifty, jewel thief, cat burglar, climbed expertly
If you read the police record of this crime gang, it would take several days. These were experienced men.
There were other criminals that worked with the Skulls. They came and went as they pleased. Maybe there were twenty to thirty of these independent hoods.
Out of town on a state roadway, the Highway 74 Truck Stop was attacked by masked gunmen who stole all the money that was in the cash register and safe. Two people were wounded. Large picture window glass was shot up. Several cars belonging to customers were riddled with bullets as a lesson that they should not cross the gang. The robbers escaped with the cash, unidentified, and unchallenged. They sped away in three black sedan automobiles.
