"You can't do that!"

"Oh, can't I? We know you are a mercenary for hire and that you have been involved in terrorist activities. I have a duty to protect innocent civilians, you just committed treason in an attempt to assassinate a Senator and YOU are a terrorist. I can do whatever I want." Keith reached over as if going for the knife hilt and I saw Landow's face crack for a moment, and a look of fear appeared in his eyes.

But Landow still said nothing. Keith then lightly placed his hand on the hilt.

Landow sighed then took a deep breath. "Screw it; I'm not getting paid enough for this! All I was supposed to do was take the Senator to a compound outside the city, rough him up a bit. That's it!"

Keith left his hand on the knife. "WHO are you working for?"

"Craig Henderson."

Keith removed his hand. "Get Amy on that name." I turned and went to make a the call.

Two rings. "Amy, its Amanda. The man that's responsible for this is Craig Henderson. Run a background search and get back to me."

"You got it. I'll call you in ten."

I walked back over to Keith. The medic was giving Landow a shot for the pain.

"He's going to have to be taken back to CTC to take the knife out, it's too deep to fix it here," the medic said.

"Our agents will escort him." He returned his gaze to Landow. "Tell me where the compound is and when you're supposed to meet him."

"It's thirty minutes away; he'll be expecting us to be there by that time. I can give you instructions."

"Is he expecting you to call?"

"Yes," Landow said.

Keith reached down and searched Landow's pocket for the cell. "Make the call."

"What's in it for me?"

"You don't spend the rest of your life in a maximum security prison."

"Fine."

"One slip up and you'll regret it," Keith glared at him.

He made the call and Keith took the phone then put it on speaker.

"Mr. Henderson, sir. It's Landow."

"Christopher, good to hear from you. Did it go according to plan?"

"Yes, there wasn't any problem. It was as simple as you said it would be. I'll be there shortly with Edwards."

"I'll be waiting. Good work." The line went dead.
