The next Friday Dr. Shepherd called Kendall into his office and informed her the building was ready to have the furniture moved in and asked her when she could move in to be around for all of the deliveries , She told him she was ready to be transferred when ever he needed her to. She signed the permission slip and was transferred the next day. She knew she would have an easy holiday season. Every year the holiday season the Emergency room saw triple the number of cases than any other time of the year.
Kendal moved her personal items in that afternoon.. She rearranged the bed and dresser then placed a little out door coffee table next to the bed with a nice side chair in the corner. She could see out the window from both the bed and the chair. If you sat on the bed you saw the theater and sitting in the chair you saw the square where the Winter Wonderland was sat up. She called Dr. Shepherd and informed him that she was moved in and ready for the deliveries.
That night while looking out she saw all kinds of pretty lights. That was one thing from early in her life through this day she liked about Christmas. This year it made her feel like she was right in the middle of the Christmas gatherings instead of just the Christmas spirit. Early the next morning Kendal showered, ate breakfast which consisted of hot cereal, toast, and milk. She was ready for the furniture to be delivered. At nine sharp two big semis pulled up at the front door followed by Dr. Shepherd's car.. Both of the semi trailers had the front lobby furniture, The library's furniture, and the gathering room's furniture in them.
The men unloaded the library's two honey pine tables with six chairs each for a total of twelve chairs. They matched the built in bookcase and two side chairs one on each side of big picture window looking out toward the front of the building into the downtown part of the entertainment area of town. Kendal knew that was the window that she would be looking out of that night.
The first thing a person saw when they stepped into the front lobby would be this big beautiful chandelier made with gold metal and glass Situated on the right side of the of the room was a two seat lounge facing the sign in desk with two side chairs divided by end tables on each side of the two seat lounge with plenty of room in between them to access the sign in desk.
