Lu Li wasn't too certain either.

From the memories of his previous life, Kitty Likes Meat had joined Drizzle Court in the end. Now that he thought about it, he felt a little bad for stealing Water Fairy's people, since she was one of his few friends.

However, since Kitty Likes Meat hadn't joined Drizzle Court yet, he didn't need to be too concerned about it.

He wasn't sure if Kitty Likes Meat already had her sights set on Drizzle Court yet; Drizzle Court was quite attractive to professional female players.

Society had advanced over thousands of years and civilization continued to improve with it, but gender differences still existed. This wasn't something that could be ignored in the gaming industry. Most female players even felt like they weren't as skilled as male players.

As far as gaming went, male players had an advantage.

It wasn't that girls from Drizzle Court thought they were superior, but that a majority of the guild was formed by girls. It was only natural that they would have higher positions.

Drizzle Court was also located in Jinglin, which was only one or two hours away from Jiangnan City. This was probably the reason why her family had approved of her joining Drizzle Court to become a professional player.

It was fine to talk in the game too, but they took into consideration that she probably didn't have that much freedom. As such, after Square Root 3 found out where Kitty Likes Meat lived, they visited her house.

Both of them went together because Lu Li wasn't especially good with words.

Square Root 3 wanted to use Lu Li's reputation and popularity to show how much they valued Kitty Likes Meat.

Kitty Likes Meat lived in a rich area; it wasn't far away from Lu Li's.

However, even the garden was grander than the house that Lu Li currently lived in.

It was a middle-aged woman who answered the door. Just as Lu Li and Square Root 3 began to wonder if this was actually Kitty Likes Meat's mother, she opened her mouth and said, "You much be the guests that Kitty is waiting on. Come on in, I'm the nanny..."

There was no way that they were poor people if they could afford a nanny.

Job vacancies were limited these days. It wasn't easy to find a job, but nannies still weren't something that the average household could afford.

Kitty Likes Meat looked similar to her gaming character; she was a girl with big eyes. Although she wasn't beautiful enough to make it onto the beauty rankings, she was a clean, good-looking, and most importantly, cute.

When Lu Li and Square Root 3 walked in, she was seated on a couch with a half-eaten platter of fruit in front of her.

"Ah, hello. Do...do you want some?" she asked in a panic, offering them the half-eaten fruit platter. Who offered this kind of thing to their guests anyway?

"No thanks. Where are your family members? Are you the only one at home?" Square Root 3 tried to sound as polite as he could.

Apparently, this helped with establishing relationships; it would subconsciously leave a trustworthy impression in the other person. Square Root 3 had already mentioned this before to Lu Li in one of their conversations.

"They've already left; you can just talk to me," Kitty Likes Meat said as she batted her eyes in preparation to listen.

Square Root 3 explained the overall situation to her and Lu Li extended the invitation in the end.

"We want you to join Ruling Sword as a professional player. We'll be able to put you on stage in the immediate upcoming competition."

"That's so soon, but I'm not ready yet..." Kitty Likes Meat mumbled softly.

"We won't send you out immediately into arena matches. After all, those are scored by head counts," Lu Li explained honestly.

"Ah, am I just a substitute?"

Kitty Likes Meat was slightly disappointed; she thought that she was about to reach the peak of her life. Who would've thought that she was only a substitute?

Suddenly, a voice from outside spoke out.

"It's more reliable to make you a substitute. I was about to say, who would be silly enough to make you a professional competitor?"

A middle-aged couple entered; these were most likely Kitty Likes Meat's parents. The one who spoke was the dad, who looked very friendly and was smiling from the corner of his eyes. He was completely different to what Lu Li and Square Root 3 had imagined.

After formalities were exchanged, Square Root 3 explained the situation again.

The dad was quite talkative and began to lead the conversation as he sat down.

"That's right, you should let the strongest go on stage first. This is how it's been done for many years already, but this match system is very reasonable."

"Oh, uncle seems to have a good understanding of the matches," Square Root 3 said in surprise.

"My dad was a competitor in the past, but he retired after he married my mum," Kitty Likes Meat explained quietly as she continued to eat her fruits.

"I see, I see."

Lu Li and Square Root 3 quickly showed their respect towards Kitty Likes Meat's father. In the gaming industry, professional players were replaced quickly, but they all respected their seniors. A majority of them had learned their skills and techniques from previous players.

"It's been so many years already; it's not worth mentioning. I'm not as good as before, and I only made an account recently in Dawn. Right now, I'm level forty-one."

Although Kitty's father said that it wasn't worth mentioning, you could tell that he was still quite proud from his expression.

He was a poor boy when he was young and had unintentionally joined the gaming industry.

Not only did he earn his position in the professional field, but he had countless beauties in the game chasing after him. He now had a wife, a daughter, expensive cars and a grand house. There was nothing more he could possibly ask for.

"You're level forty-one? Would you like to join us for our match?" Square Root 3 asked.

If Kitty's father was just a professional player from twenty years ago, he would not be interested. However, if he was a professional player from twenty years ago who had never stopped gaming and constantly paid attention to the industry, then he would be a person of great value.

What did Ruling Sword need the most?

They needed professional players for competitions, but they also needed a coach.

In fact, Ruling Sword had no coaches at all. It wasn't easy to find this kind of talent in the professional field without some sort of connections.

"Haha, I appreciate your joke. I have my own shops already; gaming is just a hobby now," Kitty's father said as he waved his hand.

He was very satisfied with his current life right now. All he had to do was dawdle around, shop with his wife, raise his daughter and occasionally spend some time gaming when he felt like it. There was no need for him to trouble himself by becoming a coach.

Over the past twenty years, he had already coached some clubs. It wasn't anything interesting to him anymore.
