John was lying to Karen but he shouldn't. Robert was basically quarelling because of that catch in the pool inspite Sarah knew swimming. Same scene held with Karen but Karen told each and everything about Albert to John. He should also tell her that he cought Sarah while sliding but he didn't. Karen knew that Sarah might loves John and she always thought that John should go away of Sarah. John knows that she uses to think so but he almost go against her by catching Sarah so he shirked to tell Karen about the entire scene.
