"There you are! How are you feeling?" She hugged me.

"I'm fine. A little sore, but I figured I'd stay and help out."

"Yeah we got a crisis going. A van left the warehouse before we got there and we're trying to track it by satellite, we suspect it has Anthrax inside. James sent me to get you and ask if you could help the new guy track the van down."

"Sure, no problem." I started to walk away.

She looked at me and got a puzzled look on her face. "Wait, why do you have two lunches?"

Crap. "I um . . ." There was no point lying she could read me like a book. But, I could try. "I was just helping Keith out. You know how hard the first day is." I shrugged.

"Right. That was my second errand to get lunch for a few workers. I guess you saved me some time."

"I guess I did."

She put her hands on her hips and looked at me. "So, save me some more and tell me what's going on."

I smiled; there was no getting out of it. "Fine." I quickly related the events of the morning to her.

"You must really like him, to get shot for him."

"Amy!"

"What? He's hot, I do it too." She hugged me and then someone walked by us. "We'll talk later. I'm glad you're okay."

"Thanks."

I headed quickly to Keith's station. He was staring intently at the computer screen and I could see images of the van from traffic cams and satellite.

"Need some help?"

He blinked as he moved his eyes from the screen and looked at me. Rubbing his forehead he smiled. "Yeah, sure."

He got up and pulled a chair over. I sat down and handed him the food.

"How'd you know?"

"Well, on busy days we're lucky if we get up to use the restroom much less eat."

"Thanks. I owe you."

"No problem. You bought breakfast, so it was my turn." I went to open the chips and winced as I pulled the package open.

He looked at me with concern. "How's your arm?"

"It's a little sore, but I'll be fine."

He glanced around then put his hand over mine and stroked my hand with his thumb.

"So, what do you have?" I asked.
