​The city council had final approval. Everyone that lived in and on surrounding farms. was going to participate in one way or another. The committe considered all suggestions on events be held. the council was very intriqued with their suggestions even excluding mud wrestling because they were afraid someone would get mad and a fight would break out causing someone to get hurt.There was events for younger children through adults The police department decided they would patrol but dressed as old country marshalls on horseback.

​The old County Days started at ten o'clock at the city park with a parade led by the two marshalls down past the cementary to the ghost town of Old Quiet Meadows.The first float was a wagon of hay bales with two teenagers watching the younger children on the wagon enjoying their hayride. All on board wore clothing that was worn when the old town of Quiet Meadows was founded in the late eighteen hundreds. followed by a closed wagon that you would have seen on the old west frointeer with a couple of people dressed as old gypies. On the side of the wagon there was an advertizing about telling fortunes. There was gobs of old farm trucks load with the venders of items from various businesses with their names on them.
