Charlotte was the prettiest among the two daughters. Anne Maria was a handicap child; she was disabled from infancy. She had deformed legs due to polio attack during her childhood days. Though Anne was able to walk, she couldn’t walk for very long journey. Charlotte was her peddling spokes.

Anne was dependent on her family members for her journeys. Charlotte was never disappointed, aggravated. Charlotte calmly used to help her sister. Both were very understanding to each other’s needs. Charlotte used to spend couple of hours in the farm with her father, ploughing or gleaning or collection of grapes and marketing to various stores. She was great support to her father.

Peter was very happy with his children. Though he couldn’t provide the luxurious of the world but he was able to provide the true happiness and basic necessities to his family. His two daughters understood his circumstances and were supporting.

Years smiled, days jogged, months marathon with them. Anne and Charlotte though they did not delve in satisfaction chapters of life, they were walking with pain and sorrow. Problems of life did not enroot in their journey of catalogue. They spent most of their leisure time with their parents meddling with their thoughts around.

Anne and Charlotte visit their uncle Andrew Whithawk who was Peter Whithawk younger brother whose residence was at Visso . Charlotte and Anne travel through their bicycle. Distance was quite far, both start their journey at eight in the morning, both say goodbye to their parents and move on. As their travelling they notice two little birds Grey Patridge singing.
