A routine check with Interpol revealed this was the same M.O (method of operation) used by Arflin who escaped from Wakefield prison a few months earlier. Desperate for money he murdered this man for his credit cards, cash and a much needed temporary identity. With a little help from Miss Clairol, Arflin closely resembled the man whose driver's license and credit cards he now had.

Scotland Yard's suspicions about Arflin fleeing to the United States were now confirmed. They would work closely with police in the United States as they raced to try and find this fiend before he killed again.

Arflin was very elusive and they knew it was just a matter of time before he struck again. The police made a thorough search of Stardust's home looking for a 38 pistol, but it was nowhere to be found. Now the police were certain Arflin was armed and considered extremely dangerous.

The police conducted a door-to-door investigation of all the houses near Stardust's home. At one of the homes they talked to a twelve-year-old boy by the name of Johnny Spencer. He cut Mary's lawn about once a month. He stopped by one day last week to find out if Mrs. Jenkins wanted him to go ahead and cut her grass, as it needed it. While he was walking up to the front door a man was backing her car out of the driveway. The man did not look in his direction. When no one answered the door he figured she was probably somewhere waiting for this man to pick her up, so he left. Arflin stopped at a busy shopping center just long enough to find another Toyota matching the description of Stardust's car. He quickly changed the license plates and headed for Kansas.

News of Stardust's death came as a shock to everyone that knew her from the chat rooms. She was so well liked it was hard to believe she wouldn't be around anymore. Stardust's tragic death was the talk of the chat rooms, but still some ladies ignored the warnings and continued to live rather dangerously in chat.

By now Dream Lover or should I say William Arflin was in Topeka, Kansas? He had changed his nickname and was searching profiles in different chat rooms for his next victim.

Did you realize many maladjusted people such as stalkers have left the streets and now find their victims through the convenience of the Internet? Tracking these mentally deranged people down is almost next to impossible because they are not limited to any one area of the globe. They could strike in Canada one week and find another victim in the United States the next week and possibly be in Holland on the third week. Anyone anywhere in the world with a computer online is a potential victim. Never and I repeat "Never" give out your personal information to a stranger.
