A second council member was the head of the warrior group that was very small in Hayshua. Since Hayshua had a history of being peaceful, this warrior group had been started and disbanded several times within the community.

A third council member headed the water needs of the village that did not involve agriculture. This group had dug the two wells within Hayshua and had dug a small ditch from the tributary that ran alongside Hayshua. Water was an important need of life and health of Hayshua. The people kept themselves clean and took baths in the river south of the village so that this water continued to flow away from the village’s water that fed the wells. Water was also used to clean the dishes within the village.

A fourth council member led the group that did much of the hunting for Hayshua. Other than Jontoo Day this group brought all the meat to the village for Hayshuans to eat. As Hayshua had started a movement toward a vegetarian lifestyle this hunting group was the smallest group and was constantly taking on other task for the village.

A fifth group was headed by a cook. Her name was Nookie. The Hayshua people ate most of their meals together. There were two main meals each day. One was early in the morning. Another meal took place early each evening. It is quite a task to feed three hundred twice a day. Yet Nookie lead this group of cooks with ease and joy. She was an honored member of the Hayshua village.
