“I think I should spend more time in Mento studying their ways. I shall also ask Tori if she could help me with this. She also has an interest in this kind of thing,” said Kiki.

“You are free to do this in whatever way you please my brother. I am happy that you are so willing to do it. For the last day or so the idea has had me very excited. Thank you for taking on the task,” Kaori said to her brother.

It took several months for this written language to be constructed. The group composed of primarily Kiki and Tori simply copied the alphabet of Mento. One particular shopkeeper in Mento was fully willing to teach the alphabet to the group. In addition to teaching the alphabet, this person and his assistant taught Kiki and Tori the sounds of the language.

Kaori then suggested to her husband that the language be given priority in the school. Several small books were created for the children to use. Yousho had suggested during a council meeting that all children of Hayshua would be required to learn the written language of Hayshua.

The people of Hayshua were able to get paper and writing instruments while trading in the city of Mento. These were used within the school that was an important part of the Hayshua history and culture.
