Dr. Shah smiled & said, “It is nothing serious …its positive. Yes Nitin, Naina is expecting.”
Nitin was dumbstruck….he was speechless. There were so many emotions going on in his mind. He did not know how to express his happiness…words were falling short to express the perfect feeling. It was these words which they were waiting to hear…it took 10 long years.
Nitin rushed to Naina’s room. She had just freshened up & was sitting though she was looking tired. Nitin went close to her, held her hands & kissed on her forehead. He could not see her eyes. He just lowered his head, kissed her hand & said thank you so so much Naina…I love you.
Naina could not understand what was Thank you for? Before she could talk, he kept his index finger on her lips & said,” Shhh…now listen Naina…today is a special day…it is the most awaited day of our life. This day promises more love & more happiness in our life. Yes Naina…today doctor has confirmed that you are going to be a mother….mother of our child…Nitin & Naina’s child. You are going to give me the best gift of my life…a priceless precious gift.”
Naina couldn’t register anything in her mind after hearing the word MOTHER. A word she felt was never for her. Her eyes were filled with tears of joy. She hugged Nitin & both could not leave each other. They wanted to live this moment, this life, this feeling for years. How could they drift apart?
