The next morning after she got up she went to the truck stop and ate breakfast of cooked cereal, toast, and milk. She got into her car and headed west again. She left a note and the key to the room on her bed. She explained that her plans had changed and she wasn't asking to be refunded just to have a great day. She got to Las Vegas and decided to stop at this famous restaurant at this very expensive hotel. She heard a familiar named being paged to the front desk. She saw her father but didn't know the lady who he had escorted out of the dining room to the desk.

When she finished having dinner she stopped at the desk and asked what room was Andrew Mason was staying in. Their reply was in the honey moon suite. The young woman at the desk told her they didn't want to be disturbed until seven o'clock in the morning or two hours before their wedding in the hotel's chapel. They had arranged to have the hotel's hair dresser and a maid to help his lady friend get ready for her wedding day.

Kelsey mumbles under her breath well dad you didn't wait too long after mom's death to marry another lady. In a way I hope she is a gold digger as long as both of you stay away from me. If things don't go good I'll just transfer to another college to get away from both of you. I just hope Isabel and I can start back up right from where we left off. She stopped to see the big red ceder trees. She even drove through one. to the town where her college was located at.

Kelsey arrived at the college two days early. She was told her dorm room wasn't ready and was scolded for arriving early. The lady at the check in desk told her only returning students could be checked in early. She made it sound as if Kelsey was a criminal of some kind. She decided it was less trouble to just get a room at a motel until registration date at the college.

Kelsey called the college the next day and talked to the same young women named Donna at the check in desk and was told that none of her paperwork had been received yet. Kelsey asked her if she knew what the hold up was and was told her benefits coordinator was out of town for another two weeks and would be back on the first full day of classes.

Since they had her on record to attend she could use some of their facilities but wasn't allow to board there, use their library, attend any of the tours of the college or to meet the professors teaching any of her classes ahead of time. She knew that all of the good professors would have already picked the students they felt fitted in with their teaching the course so she already had two bad check points against her. Somehow she was going to have catch up speed. it felt like she had been bad and put to bed without any dinner.
