Sarah folded her hands, leveling apologetic eyes on Elisabeth. "You know, I have to admit I was as excited as Jackson to see the full moon. Connor and I are partly to blame."

"I'm sure you are. I enjoy seeing him squirm and it doesn't happen very often."

Jackson returned with his drink to the laughter of both women. "Guess I'll go up to the music room, that is, if you've put your whip away."

She frowned at him. "For now."

Elisabeth and Sarah chatted after she finished her dessert. She finally stood to take her dish to the sink. "That was great."

Sarah grabbed the plate from her. "I'll clean up. Why don't you go see Jackson?"

"Think he's suffered enough?"

"Maybe not, but I feel bad - sort of."

"All right, only because you asked.

Elisabeth stood behind Jackson with her hands on his shoulders. After finishing the piece he was playing, he tilted his head back to rest on her chest. "Are you here to yell at me some more?"

"No, I'm done."

"Thank God." He turned, wrapping his arms around her waist. She ran her hands through his hair and kissed his forehead as he squeezed a little tighter. "Forgiven?"

"I guess."

A smirk ran across his lips. "Make-up sex?"

"Don't push your luck."

"Fair enough." He pulled her onto the bench beside him, turned and began playing. She rested her head on his shoulder, closed her eyes and allowed the peaceful tune to quiet her mind. When finished, he lifted her chin with his index finger and gazed into her eyes. "Ah, music hath once again soothed the savage beast." She pushed away, yet couldn't contain her laugh.

They joined Sarah, who was waiting for Connor to return from court. She clapped her hands. "Oh, goody. You've kissed and made up."

They sat down and Jackson draped his arm over Elisabeth. "In a manner."

She elbowed him, but kept her focus on Sarah. "What are you reading?"

"Oh, some boring investment book. These guys think they have all the answers, what a joke." She closed the book and placed it beside her. "Is it too soon to ask about the conversation with your brother?"

Jackson grimaced and scooted his arm to the back of the sofa.

The motion did not go unnoticed; Elisabeth winked at Sarah. "Not at all. What would you like to know?"

"What did he say about those werewolves?"

"He thinks something is keeping them in the Northeast. They haven't been tracked any further west than Toronto, and this seems to be the furthest south they've ventured."

"So, what happens now?"
