When the sheriff and deputies arrived the man that gave Henry the jeepers creepers was sitting at a table and motioned for them to join him. When they approached him they were shown his badge. The group went to the site which a gun battle between the poachers and the state troopers and Sheriff Smith's department errupted All but one of the poachers was killed The only surviver was a very young child of ten years old.He was turned over to family service untill his mother could arrive. She arrived with an attorney and questioned on what part she might have participated in all of this.
While questioning her Sheriff Smith found out that she knew nothing except that her husband loved to hunt.and would take their son out on these hunting trips with him. The boy loved being out in the woods or maybe just spending time with his father. Snow Cap Ridge could breath easier knowing that all of the murderers was brought to justice
