The evening slowly came to an end as the wee hours of the morning approached. With the last of his guests saying their goodbyes, Tom was quite happy with the turn out, but tired. Thanking his aunt and cousin, he excused himself and headed off to bed. What a delightful evening, he thought as visions of Jane Austen danced in his mind. She had looked remarkable. As he lie in bed that early morning, he couldn't help but wonder if he would see her again.

They had had a wonderful evening together, but she was in Hampshire, and he in London. He closed his eyes, holding onto hope that they might meet again, soon.
