"Sup Mia…" He returned her dry morning greeting and then disappeared into his shop.

"Skank… skeezer… jerk" she muttered under her breath sticking out her tongue at him. How dare he act all innocent and stuff after being out all night screwing only God knows what she seethed as she prepared for the day. She was in the game room picking and putting up games that were still out from last night's activities. She gathered all of the pieces separating and putting them in their proper game boxes. She then moved on to the various decks of cards, separating and sorting them by box. After getting things straightened out she was off to the drum room to make sure everything was properly sorted there too. She checked the goat skin coverings for any signs of wear and tear; making sure that they were not in need of repair or replacement and were still snuggly fitted around the drums. She also checked the straps making sure that they had not been inadvertently knotted up from people's lack of knowledge of not knowing how to strap them on and off properly.

Soon she was in the reading room picking up and reshelving books and magazines that had been left on tables, chairs, benches and sofas. She then quickly got the vacuum and did a quick vacuum of each room to remove some of the dust and dirt that had settled in.

"There that's better" she muttered to herself looking around. She knew that she wasn't referring to the place but rather herself. She felt better in terms of releasing some of her pent up anxiety.

"Now what" she asked herself looking around trying to find new ways to keep herself busy. If she stayed busy than her mind wouldn't wander around thinking about Jayden- jerk.

Jayden kept pacing back and fro to his front window peering out the door and down the strip mall to Mia's shop. He couldn't concentrate on his business. He had to see if Skip showed up today. He was going to confront that old geezer and find out for sure what the deal was with him and Mia. Jayden felt a modicum of comfort to see that Mia was on time for work as usual. At least she hadn't stayed up all night and sleeping in today. At least he knew that Skip hadn't worked her out all night keeping her from coming to work this morning. He smiled to himself. The old man probably had a hard time keeping it up he reasoned. Should he send him some of those little blue pills?
