"Momma… Whatever happened to breaking the cycle and not being like him?" He threw her words back into her face. She gave him a glare as she sat down opposite him and his father.

"He's not my daddy… and I gave at the office." She said still glaring at him while she took sips of coffee from her cup.

"Dang, you didn't even offer me a cup…" Jayden pouted attempting to draw a little empathy from his mom.

"You're grown; buy your own." She shot back with her quick wit. He couldn't hide the smile from her. His mother always made him laugh with her quick wit and way of saying things.

"Mom, I swear you should have been a comedian… you're funny."

"Hmm… I'm not funny, I'm serious… Hurry up and get him out of my house."

Before Jayden could respond they heard the sound of trickling and dripping water.

"What in the world?" Jaden asked looking around for the source of the suddenly trickling water.

"Oh hell-to-the-no… not my got damn new kitchen floor." His mother exclaimed while stooping down peering under the table. Abruptly she sat up giving her son a real mean look.

"You're cleaning that up." She asserted as she got up leaving Jayden to clean up the stream of urine from his father that soiled her chair and dripped onto her newly lain floor.

"Have you seen my wife and children?" Jacob asked again as he sat in the tub of warm soapy water that Jayden had prepared for him. Cursing himself Jayden was kneeling over the tub on his hands and knees soaping up his father's back and washing him clean.

"No, but we're trying to reach them." Jayden explained to him. He figured that his mother had made a proper diagnosis with her medical background as a Registered Nurse - Alzheimer- dementia.

"Here…I'm not sure, but I think these might fit. I bought a toothbrush too; take it with you when you leave" Marla said without entering the bathroom. She stuck her arm in and then dropped the bag with the newly bought items on the lid of the toilet.

"Thanks mom… I owe you…" Jayden yelled after her. She had volunteered to go and pick up him a change of clothing while Jayden cleaned him up.

"I take MasterCard and Visa too. Write me a check, I know where you live." She shouted out back through the door.
