"I didn't mean to make you feel….." Aurora started too apologetically say but then held back her words and permitted him his time to grieve and recover with dignity.

"I like the leather, is it new?" Aurora then said trying to divert his attention elsewhere by commenting on his black biker jacket.

"Thanks and yeah it's new, well a few months old now I guess," he said making an attempt to recover his composure. "I took some time off to do this game; the agency is not backing me on this. In fact, they think I'm with Tessa on Long Island right now. Shit if they only knew their top agent was lowering himself to murdering wannabe rock stars and street scum, my ass would be in lock up so fast," Stryker told Aurora as he turned and faced her lying before him.

"We all do what we have to do Stryker to get by anyway we can," she said sitting up in the bed and bracing herself with her arms behind her. "I now track down loser husbands and help turn their new widowers into richer women by them cashing in on their bastard hubby's life insurance," she said before lowering her head, "Yeah you're right, I was a top agent for the government…..and now, not so much."

"You could always come back Aurora, you know that. The Bureau would always take you back. A skilled marksman as you are is something they don't forget about," the agent said as he gazed upon the dark haired woman before him.
