Mother Superior approved immediately only if Sister Sarah would be there. Mother Superior called the school. She found out that indeed Sister Sarah would be there. Genevie put the book in her bookbag. She made sure she locked her room when she left.
While the committee was in session Sister Sarah had a hand held scanner that was she had borrowed from a dear friend. She scanned the entire book. Genevie had just put the book back into the bottom of her bookbag when Sister Marie came in to get her.
When they got back home Genevie hurried upstairs and emptied her bag onto her bed then placed her family's book onto the table by the window separate from the rest of the school books. She was called down for dinner.
When she arrived down in the dinning room she was questioned about why she had locked her door where the maids couldn't go in to clean. Genevie stated that she wanted to clean her room instead of the maids reciting one of Mother Superior's saying to the nuns all the time cleanliness is next to Godliness.
Genevie told them that she rushed upstairs to pick up her dirty clothes that was laying on the floor in her bathroom then made her bed then took her school books out of her bag. When she got back up to her room the maid was scrubbing her bathroom. Genevie was thankful that after her shower she had put her dirty clothes in the hamper instead of throwing them onto the floor as usual.
On Monday Sister Sarah sent the scanner to her friend Father Cushing in Italy. While waiting for his historian to read and give his opinion of the book Genevie was accepted to North Western State of Louisiana Creative College. her acceptance letter into the college came to the school counselor's office .
She opened it immediately. She asked if she could call Mother Superior with the good news. She talked to Sister Francis and explained she knew that Mother Superior never took calls but this was special and she wanted Mother Superior to hear it first.
Mother Superior answered the phone young lady what is so important that you couldn't wait until you got home. When she heard the news she told Genevie she was proud of her and stated Our Lord has blessed you.
After calling the Mother Superior she saw Sister Sarah in the hall. She just had to show Sister Sarah her acceptance letter to her she called out Sister sarah's name to get her attention. When Sister Sarah read the letter she was also pleased. Genevie gave her counselor back the letter to copy for the school's file then was allowed to take it with her.
