“Hi” I say because at this point it’s abundantly clear that I’m the one he is talking to.
“I’m James. I know you are new here, and I was wondering if maybe you would like me to give you a tour of the school.”
“Thanks so much James but Kayla has actually taken on the responsibility of showing me around the school. It was really sweet of you to think of that though.”
“umm. Ok, then would you like a tour of the island, I can assure you, you would never find a more intriguing place than the immortal island.”
“Actually the Austin’s have given me a tour yesterday; the entire family accompanied me on my little excursion. It really is beautiful.” I give him a sweet smile and look at the table, as he starts moving away slowly, then I don’t know what’s gotten into him, but he decides to turn back to our table and approach us again.
“Malaya, look I was hoping then that maybe you would like to go on date sometime, I know you just got here, you can’t possibly be dating anyone at present.”
Oh my gosh, I didn’t even tell him my name, it almost seems like he is harassing me into saying yes.
