I start laying my clothes and accessories out on the bed. Time to get ready

After getting ready I walk to the car, so that we could go to the church to be married

After entering the church I am really nervous. I haven’t seen Julian yet today, as is customary. While I stand outside waiting, my insides feel like they are going to explode.

The huge doors before me open up and I clutch onto my dad for dear life. I blow out a breath as we begin a slow decent to the front of the church, as my nervousness picks up, so do my senses. I hear the heartbeat of every person in the room, even the whispers.

Aunt Maggie “Who would have thought that. The girl is actually average looking, for years she moped around in that hideous looking hoodies and big pants, she looked like a hoodlum. Now she actually looks decent, but if you ask me, she probably still behaves like a gangster, and to think that she is marrying a doctor, he is so handsome too, he should have met my daughter June, she looks so much better than Malaya anyway.”

My aunt Sylvia actually sticks up and says “Oh Maggie, the girl is stunning, she is the most beautiful bride I have ever seen, and she was never a gangster. For goodness sake, she came home with straight A+’s, even finished school a couple years early if I remember correctly.
