“It’s just that I don’t want to burden you any further. Ok I will join you for dinner if you have dinner with me on Saturday night. I will make you fresh home cooked food.”
“Are you asking me out on a date Cia? Are you that attracted to me? I thought the attraction was one sided.”
“It is a simple dinner. I was planning to cook you a traditional Pahari meal. I am not attracted to you or any one else. How many times do I tell you that I am here for work?”
“We will see to that Cia dear.”
They had reached home so Cia rushed out of the car into her cottage.
Today she decided to dress up a little. She wore a dark orange Kurta with black Capri slacks and black sandals. She reached Jay’s house at 8 pm.
A small table with two chairs had been set up. The tablecloth was flowery in design. There were lanterns in the nearby bushes to give lights. At the centre of the table was a small flower vase with a red rose. Silver plates and cutlery had been laid on the table. The entire seen was enchanting. It looked like a small romantic date rather than a dinner.
Cia was lost in her thoughts when Jay entered.“ I hope you don’t mind eating out. The weather is pleasant and I thought you would enjoy the view outside. But if you want we can always have dinner inside.”
