The next morning was The Wedding. It was a traditional Indian wedding with a very beautiful mandap set up using orchids and lilies with chrysanthemum flowers. In addition to the havan kund mattresses covered with pure silk sheets specially handwoven from Jodhpur had been arranged for the bride and the groom’s family to sit.

The entire ballroom was decorated with pink flowers as the brides favorite color was pink. The stage was decorated using exotic flowers.

All the tables had silk tablecloths with beautiful bone china crockery and silver plated cutlery for use by the guests. Theses table cloths Raima had arranged from Rajasthan .

The baraat arrived in a typical Punjabi style with everyone dancing to the tune of the local musicians. After the normal rituals of cutting the ribbon by the groom he sat on the stage waiting for his wife to come. A beautiful buggy with a peacock shape brought the bride to the stage after which the Jaimalas were exchanged.

The DJ was playing beautiful songs. The snacks and refreshments were being served. Everyone seemed to be enjoying and the Pheras were to be held in another hour so Raima was sitting on a chair and relaxing when Dev came and sat next to her.

“Hi Raima everything ok?”

“Everything seems to be fine. I just hope everyone is enjoying”
