Varun smiled and nodded at him. Maya returned back and it was her turn to shoot. She got ready and shot but she missed the target this time. Varun shot perfectly so the score was tied between them 21-21. Maya shot the next and she missed it this time too while Varun hit perfectly again. So the score was 21-22.
Varun saw her getting ready to next one so he shouted, “Maya wait.”
She saw him coming towards her so she waited. He came near her and handed the tissue to her and said,” Maya, use this to rub your hands with this. I think there must be some water droplets in your hands which can make you to slip the gun.”
She took tissue from him and said, “Thanks Varun”
She wiped her hands with the tissue, bent down and rubbed it with the sand. She saw Varun standing next to her. He then said, “Come on. Shoot it down.” Vivek went for count down and this time she didn’t miss the target and shot the bullseye. Varun shot and he also didn’t miss it so the score was 22-23 and this continued and it was the last ball now as the score now was 23-24.
Preethi and Vivek were tensed as they didn’t know who was going to win the match. Preethi had joined her hands like praying to the god and Vivek had a sweat rolling down on from his forehead. Maya went for her shot and it was a perfect hit. Now it was Varun’s turn. Varun loaded his gun and saw Maya who was cheering for him. She was not at all worried about her winning. Preethi thought to herself, “I hope Maya wins” while Vivek thought, “I hope Varun loses it wontedly so that he can become friends with her easily.”
