Vivek smiled at her and replied, “Wait and watch.”
The lights went off for a minute and everyone was able to hear the a famous Tamil song from ‘Sillunu oru kadhal’ movie ‘Kummadiyo’ and when the lights came back they were able to watch Maya’s friends, Varun’s cousins and Vivek performed.
Maya clapped her hands while enjoying their performance. Varun’s cousin dragged her and asked her to dance which she denied gesturing them as NO but Varun saw her and signaled her to dance so she made the hip movement and went rushing near Varun. She held his hands and stood on the stage. The song was about to get over so Vivek pulled him to the shake his legs so Varun did so also he noticed Vivek’s signal so with the dance movement Varun went towards the screen.
Maya saw him who was moving towards the stage also before he could reach the lights went off so Maya scanned for him but everyone was able to hear his voice so everyone kept their ears wide open eager to know what he was about to say.
“Maya, this is for you. Hope you enjoy and relish with it.”
A video played on the projector screens were it displayed the pictures with a romantic background music. Varun had collected all the photos of Maya from her childhood to adulthood. Maya saw her pictures being displayed which made her jaw to drop in astonishment. There were many funny pictures of her which was lined up so beautifully. The first picture was when she was born may be at One year, next was her at 3 years where she was so chubby with kajal on her eyes and she trying to climb the chair, then was her in 5 years were she had dressed up like a farmer in fancy dress competition, then at 7 years were she had boy cut and was participating in running race keeping her fists closed but smile on her face, then was her picture from 10 years were she had taken a picture like sitting on the bike, followed by at 15 years her puberty picture(seeing this Varun smiled which was clearly visible for Maya even in darkness), at 20 years her picture of riding the Royal Davidson, then 21 were she was climbing the rock taken in trekking which followed by pictures of her friends and family.
