Blood ran from my wounds. I stumbled forward. My commander laughed.
"You thought you were going to kill a bandit camp. Priceless."
I stumbled toward my sword.
"I knew you were dumb but damn Claire. I was ordered to destroy a village and I did and you want to know why? Because its fun. You signed on for that but you couldn't deliver could you? No you had to be a hero. How stupid are you?"
I grabbed at my sword but he kicked me in the side. I rolled and he stomped my stomach. His sword slashed my cheek. I reached for my sword and grabbed the hilt. He slashed my wrist. I cried out in pain. He kicked the sword away. I felt his boot on my neck. His other boot kicked into my side.
