The third day of cleaning up the everglades from both hurricanes while they were moving one of the biggest trees that came down they found a body under one of them so the Rangers was upset with Shane becaause he was to make sure that everyone had left their cabins and taken them to the shelter. Shane was upset because he thought he had done his job and done it well. One of the rangers was calling for a formal hearing One the big boss of the rangers was trying to get Shane reffermanded for this killing. One of them even insinurated that he was incompentent and needed to be fired.

Shane thought about resigning but Crystal talked him out of it .People have the right to refused to leave their homes during a storm and now people want him hung .Bodies in the Everglades decompose quickly but there was one weird thing and that was there was a pair of a kind of handcuffs by one of the body's wrist to where only a cornor could tell for sure. The cornor wanted an expert on handcuffs to determine what kind the cuffs they were and who would have used them on the body. Shane said they would know more when the body was ID'd. The next few days there was so many Insurance Claim Adjusters that came and went and life was becoming a little more normal when a second body that also had the same kind of handcuff on a wrist so This time there was a set of car keys in it's pocket but no car. Shelly thought that was strange and wondered if he or she was sneaking into the everglades and left their car somewhere maybe on the highway. She called the sheriff's department and they didn't have a tow order for any vehicle being towed either right before the hurricanes hit or during the storms. She was told during the storm that a ranger truck was towed to the nearest pound which is also the junkyard She informed Shane and he said he would go get the truck or bring her the keys and have her to get the truck. He asked if any new information on either bodies and was told none so far. She saw one of the sheriff's deputy who said he saw those cuffs and he was pretty certains they were either flex cuffs or regular plastic ties.
