Sitri and Vine shadowed behind them in the dark night.
"Too much time has passed since she went in."
"You're right. We need to know what has transpired," Vine motioned for them to go inside.
Halphas and Druitte paced in the Courtyard, standing watch.
Moving through the chambers, they came to the open area of The Tomb.
"Where the hell is she?" Erin screamed. "There's blood everywhere!"
"They took her… she didn't come out… there's only one way to know. We need to get to Master Rowan," Sitri added.
"You mean, you've seen him?" Erin eyed him.
"Yes… he's… demon… I'm afraid," Sitri muttered. "And now, so is your friend Laurel."
"Why the hell didn't she say anything? After everything she's been through with Dantalion… she could have told us," Lucia protested.
"There's more. We think she's immortal," Vine faced the others. "We've got to summon Dantalion… he's the only one who can help her now."
"What about Rowan?" Erin asked.
"We need to get to the Realm of Goetia. That is where he will be. There we can summon Dantalion."
The girls followed behind Vine and Sitri, exiting The Tomb.
"What's happened?" Halphas' deep voice already knew the answer.
"They've taken her," Vine confirmed. "We're leaving now to find Master Rowan and summon Lord Dantalion."
Pages from the grimoire fluttered back and forth on the table of Dantalion's chamber, the hearth nearby offering its dim glow. Rowan's claws drew across its worn pages, every word penetrating his core.
"Alchemy… healing… wielding fire. What the hell? Every other word in here has something to do with God? Invocation of angels? The sacred magic of Abramelin the Mage?" Rowan focused on this section more closely.
"Demons must undergo an eighteen month purification… only then can they summon the Holy Guardian Angel who may sign the oath. So this is what he's up to! He's gonna lure them all at The Tomb and have them release Laurel of the brands… He knows they can't force him to sign the oath….only, what if they still want a blood sacrifice? That son of bitch is gonna turn the blade on her! I should have went… I shouldn't have let her go!"
"Master Rowan?" Levi's voice echoed from outside the door. Rowan let him into the chamber. He eyed the grimoire as he removed his hood, his spiked hair matching the blackness of his eyes. "Powers take time and practice to master."
